MORE ABOUT OUR HISTORY
Arcade Cabinets was started by Lloyd Morgan in 2002 who
is a retro arcade enthusiast from South Wales.
It all started in 1984 (age of 10) when his father
bought a beat up old Midway Space Invaders upright from
a pub when the video games scene was declining.
In love with this machine he played it for hours a day
trying to get the hi score which is what gaming was all
about back then.
Lloyd has a history for making things and innovative
ideas so it was only a matter of time before he combined
his love for classic arcade games with his artistic
creative flare. Luckily as fate would have it he
chose a background in computers with his first job in
1993 being a computer builder he had a grounded
fundamental understanding of hardware and early
He started to tinker with a few old arcade machines and
pinballs repairing and restoring them as a hobby. Armed
with a little bit of knowledge and a sheet of wood he
set out designing and making an arcade table for his
home. It was based on the American style table but
brought up to date with modern features like neon lights
and chrome finish. It was only a matter of time before
he soon started to take orders from friends for
customised tables to match their furniture and the rest
Each cabinet is designed using CAD software and cut
using state of the art CNC machines for a precision
finish every time. Just one look at these finished
arcade machines and you can clearly see the love and
passion that goes into these.
Nothing excites him more than when he is designing a
custom arcade machine for a customer.
proud to state we do not mass manufacture these cabinets
and we were one of the first to exclusively produce
machines for the home in the UK. We still to this very day
feel we lead the way in innovation of retro gaming
cabinets and still the only company to offer a
fully custom arcade cabinet design service.
In 2012 we raised over £2000 for Cancer
We ran the Cardiff Half Marathon(1hr.29m) and London
